HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Are you ready to say goodbye to 2011 and welcome 2012?
...well, ready or not here it comes!
A little history before we start. This celebration started some 4000 years ago by the Babiloans. They celebrated for 11 years the beginning of spring. Egyptians and Romans had their own traditions as well. But it wasn't until the emperor Julius Caesar that decided to mark the beginning of the year as January 1st. The first known celebration of New Year's occurred in Chile on 1671.
After a little of that, I will like to now give you some fun rituals to do to welcome the new year.

1. In my family, the one tradition that cannot fail is making a list of things that we want to burn from 2011(like any negative or painful incident) and not have it be part of our new year, 2012. Second step, we make a list of things of what we want from 2012 and save the note throughout the year. I keep it in my wallet so I can keep reminding my self. Third step, we burn the paper of the things we don't want and the old list from the year before. It is a fun ritual to renew ourselves from the past and welcome the future.

2. Are you single or in a relationship? Either way wear red panties to have love in the new year.

3. Don't forget to eat the 12 grapes right at midnight, and make a wish for each one. This is a hard one, but it is always so fun to hurry up and do it.

4. Who doesn't want to have more money for the new year? To attract a wealthier year wear money in your shoes. Another way is to have your pockets full of money.

5. If you want to make your 2012 the year of travel, then grab some baggage and take them outside and then bring them back inside.

6. For the spiritual ones, they say that if you turn all the lights of the house that you are at for new years helps you achieve a higher spirituality.

7. To bring all new positive things in your life wear something new and white on New Year's Eve.

8. Colored candles: blue for peace, red for passion, green for health, and white for clarity.

9. To take out all negativity, tears and sadness out of your life; fill a glass with water and trow it outside your window.

10. Two minutes before midnight open the door of your house and say goodbye to the old year and all that you don't want from the new year. At midnight, closed the door with positive thoughts for the new year.

11. For happiness and good energy wear something yellow.

12. Want lots of new clothes for 2012? wear your underwear turned around. Of course, this is the most special to me ;)

Have fun with these rituals and more importantly, believe if you really wish for any of them to come true they will.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Chanel's Fashion Show

Grad Palais, Galerie Courbe - Paris

The show is just beautiful! From the decoration, the setting, to the fashion designs! I find it inspiring. The colors, I specially enjoyed the pink fashions. The mix of western fashion with Hindu designs. The jewelry is just AMAZING! To dream about. It is a bit long, but it's worth it! The clothes are just beautiful, the purses, the belts, the jackets, the shows, the dresses, the skirts... ALL OF IT! Enjoy the beauty of Chanel, my fashion temple.

Ready for the amazing sales???

One of the reasons this is one of my favorite times of the year is because of the sales that come with it. I have chosen two of my favorite websites to show some of their amazing sales. They offer free shipping both ways and no min. required (Click on images to get to link).

I am going to start with ASOS:

Nishe Winter Faux Fox Fur Coat With Leather Bows~ from $181.80 to $63.63!
I love this little coat. It is so "in" to wear faux fur right now and I just feel this design is so sweet and not overdone. Besides, the leather bows are adorable!

Religion Dress With Embellishment~ from $185.44 to $123.62
This dress is just so cool. It is unique and a total head turner. Want to wear something nobody else will? this is the dress. It is very Dior looking, so you are getting a good deal on an amazing dress.

ASOS Midi Skirt in Leather and Suede~ from $163.62 to $81.81
I love the color of the skirt. It is perfect for this season. And the mix of leather and suede makes it a really different skirt. I just love it!

Clothing store 6pm.com always has amazing sales. I'm going to show some shoes that I found awesome.

B. Makowsky Tuttle Black Suede~ from $269 to $161.99
These boots are just awesome. They are thigh high and with the cool belts give it a tough look without being too much. Show them over jeans, with a dress, skirt or leggings.

Aldo Siptak Grey~ from $130 to $79.99
I like mixing leather with suede. It gives it a luxourius look without being too much. The color and the height are perfect for either a night out or just going to the movies.

Report Belzer thigh high boots~ from $190 to $142.99
An amazing pair of boots that have some height but not too much that you will feel too tired using them all day. The color and suede texture makes them a real fun pair of boots. Wear them with anything!

Visit both websites for other cool items. They are filled with amazing merchandise. Other websites that I recommend are Victoriasecret.com, they are having their semi-annual sale. Urbanoutfitters.com is having an amazing sale as well, and you'll find cute dresses down to $20 dlls! and last I am going to suggest checking out jcrew.com, it has as well their outlet store on the same website. Besides the big sale that they are having you can enjoy an additional 20% off.

Have fun shopping!

Still don't know what to wear for NEW YEARS?...

This year I am having a sweats and big sweater new year's feast, but for those who are going to party your booties off and haven't found "the" dress
here are some options that are less than $150,
except for a leather dress that is too hard to resist!
(Click on the image to direct link to website)

~I am going to start with free people,
which is one of my favorite shops~

New Romantics Adriatic Queen Dress

This dress is awesome and with a great price! If I was going to party I would be between this one and another from another shop (that I will show further on in the post). I love how this dress is so fashionable, sexy without being in your face and different. It's long, which is so "in" right now.

Solid Slub Maxi Slip
For the girl that likes the hobo chic style, this dress is perfect! The color and length makes it ideal for a cool party, and the bottom of the dress makes it romantic and a bit hippie. You can dress it up with gold accessories and a statement hair style or keep it hobo chic like the model. As you can see it is a bit see thru, so wear a slip underneath.

~My second shop is going to be ASOS. Their prices are always so accessible and their styles so fun! They offer free shipping both ways~

Vero Moda Very Deco Fringe Halter Dress
This dress is another unique finding. It is very Gucci looking. I like the detail of the fringe and the color. It is definitely another stand out dress, nobody would wear something like it.

Reverse Hi Lo Dress With Studded Lace Bustier
This dress is the other dress that I would buy. I would buy them all, but I'm feeling at this time like wearing these kind of styles. I love using lace and mixing it up with tough stuff, like in this case the studs. I like the hi-lo length in dresses and skirts.

~Finally, we have topshop! what can I say about topshop? come on,
it is just so fun and fashionable, no need for me to explain further~

VELVET HALTER DRESS

For the romantic girl that loves vintage looks. This dress would be completed with a chic thin belt to accentuate your waist. Velvet is so "in" right now. It is very romantic, fashionable and sexy looking.

STUD BUSSLE BACK LEATHER DRESS BY DRESS UP

Ok this is my expensive item and it is just so cool, it had to be on my list! Come on, the studs, the design, the leather... it says it all, this is for the trendsetter sexy cool chic girl. You want to turn heads? here you go my friend.

People, check out the three web sites, they ALL have amazing dresses. It was hard picking which ones to choose from. I kept going back and forth but in the end these were the finals. And hey, whatever you wear I'm sure you will look awesome. Just rock it baby!

Happy Holidays!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE
& CHRISTMAS DAY

In this time of the year when all is possible, when love is all around us, don't forget to spread the joy! So today I have decided to post some pictures of my home's decorations. Hope you like my designs and that you have the most wonderful time of the year!

Welcome to my Christmas Wonderland

I thought that it would be fun to fill up this transparent vases with plastic pearls,
it gives it a luxurious look.

Wrapping gifts is half of the fun! I love adding candy, the treat is there even before unwrapping.

I wanted the fireplace to look elegant but fun and colorful.

I just like to have fun with vases and different decorations items.

This is a part of my Christmas tree, so you can see more of the details.
The trick is add as many lights as possible, it makes it sparkle.

~May all your wishes come true in the most wonderful time of the year~

The Pilot.

Hello there,
Welcome to a backstage pass to my life. It is mostly about fashion: unique fashion findings, great fashion sales, fun fashion websites, mixing and matching fashion styles and of course a little of reading, tv, writing, photographs, paintings, pets, drawings and décor.
I am looking forward to sharing with you a little piece of my life, or maybe most of my life ha! This blog is mainly dedicated to fashion but you will get once a week a random topic of my other interests, as listed above… may the fun begin!
P.S. Hope you likey baby darling…
Write comments, follow me and share the love, my dear friends.

This is one of my favorite paintings.

So many cool accessories: the leather bracelet is a vintage piece from the 70's, one of my fave pieces. The purse I bought when I went to Lebanon, beautiful and unique. A cute hamsa bracelet bought at a little shop in Paris, but you can find them everywhere. The heart bracelet and earrings (on top of the purse) are from a designer from Paris, they were a gift from my great bf!

This summer my bf's family invited me to France, lucky me! and this was one of my fave outfits from the trip... I will post about it soon.

I love decorations and I always decorate my house for Christmas.
Here is my tree!!! I will post about this as well.

I love taking fun different pictures and I just loved the three reflections that I got, plus I loved my outfit!

Thank you again for visiting, keep posted for more fun!
